We are seeking a passionate and experienced EAC Sales Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of driving positive environmental impact. In this position, you will focus on trading Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), including GOs, I-RECs, RECs, REGOs, and RGGOs, across multiple international markets. You will identify high-value trading and procurement opportunities, manage relationships with renewable energy producers, corporate buyers, and utility partners, and ensure accurate and efficient transactions through regional registry systems.
Your in-depth knowledge of renewable energy markets, certificate trading mechanisms, and the dynamics of corporate sustainability commitments (RE100, Scope 2 reporting) will be key to achieving success in this role.
Your Mission at GREENIPATH will include the following responsibilities:
- Identify, manage and execute carbon credit trading opportunities and strategies in the voluntary carbon market.
- Trading of specific carbon certificate types in selected markets with focus on back-to-back deals and the sale of own inventory.
- Follow a risk assessment and management approach for trading.
- Perform the whole trade process from identifying and approaching counterparties, conducting initial discussions, supporting onboarding, negotiating deal pricing and terms, and supporting back-office for successful trade execution in line with the company’s principles and rules.
- Collaborate with the team for successful transactions and develop innovative solutions and strategies for carbon trading and sustainability.
- Perform market research to identify clients and actively contribute to the firm’s client acquisition activities.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay at the forefront of industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics to ensure being updated to current market conditions and sentiment.
- Cultivate and expand relationships with key stakeholders in the environmental certificates markets, including end buyers, project owners/developers, trading houses, regulatory bodies, etc.
- Represent GREENIPATH and engage with key market stakeholders.
