We are seeking a passionate and experienced Carbon Sales Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of driving positive environmental impact. In this position, you will be responsible for buying and selling carbon credits within the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) and related mechanisms. You will identify and capitalize on market opportunities, build and manage strong relationships with corporate buyers, compliance entities, and project developers, and ensure smooth execution of carbon trading transactions.

Your expertise in carbon markets, understanding of offset project methodologies, and ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks such as CORSIA and Article 6 will be essential to your success.

Your Mission at GREENIPATH will include the following responsibilities:

  • Identify, manage and execute carbon credit trading opportunities and strategies in the voluntary carbon market.
  • Trading of specific carbon certificate types in selected markets with focus on back-to-back deals and the sale of own inventory.
  • Follow a risk assessment and management approach for trading.
  • Perform the whole trade process from identifying and approaching counterparties, conducting initial discussions, supporting onboarding, negotiating deal pricing and terms, and supporting back-office for successful trade execution in line with the company’s principles and rules.
  • Collaborate with the team for successful transactions and develop innovative solutions and strategies for carbon trading and sustainability.
  • Perform market research to identify clients and actively contribute to the firm’s client acquisition activities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay at the forefront of industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics to ensure being updated to current market conditions and sentiment.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with key stakeholders in the environmental certificates markets, including end buyers, project owners/developers, trading houses, regulatory bodies, etc.
  • Represent GREENIPATH and engage with key market stakeholders.
