About Us

Established in 2002, Greenhouse Sports is a youth charity specifically using sport to support social change. Sport is our hook to engage young people and one of the vehicles through which we support youth development. We are focused on creating opportunities for young people to recognise their strengths and develop the skills they need to thrive now and in the future. We work across London, Portsmouth, and Leicester, specifically in areas of high deprivation. We embed evidence‑based positive youth development programmes into primary and secondary schools. These programmes are delivered by our trusted, high‑quality coach‑mentors throughout the year to ensure ongoing access to sport, mentoring, enrichment, and employability activities. Over 9,000 young people each year benefit from our programmes, improving school attendance, wellbeing, and aspirations.

The Role

We are recruiting a qualified, skilled Multisports Coach Mentor to lead our new programme at Moreland Primary School. The role includes planning and delivering a comprehensive high‑quality coaching and mentoring programme. Typical sessions include non‑curricular breakfast, lunch and after‑school coaching, one‑to‑one or small group sessions (as agreed with the school), and regular competitive opportunities for all players. The mentor will also deliver half‑term and holiday camps during school holidays. In addition, the coach‑mentor works closely with the Impact Team to collect high‑quality data that demonstrates the effectiveness of our work and quantifies the difference we make. Data are collected at designated times throughout the year, including case studies, questionnaires, skills and fitness testing. Coaches review young people’s progress and set targets for future development. The mentor must uphold Greenhouse Sports’ Safeguarding and Child Protection policies, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and maintaining accurate records of all registered participants, staff and volunteers at every session.

The Person

Applicants must hold a NGB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and have experience delivering and managing top‑quality programmes for children and young people in schools, community or sports club settings. Demonstrated mentoring skills, confidence as an IT user, and strong administrative and organisational abilities are essential to plan, manage and capture programme data promptly. Applicants are expected to share the Greenhouse Sports mission, values and beliefs, and bring a passion for helping young people learn and develop. All Greenhouse Sports employees receive comprehensive Continuous Professional Development support and are required to commit fully to the Safeguarding and Child Protection policy. Greenhouse Sports is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; applicants will be required to undergo child protection training and screening, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and obtain satisfactory references from past employers.

Application Deadline: Friday 19 June at 23:59hrs

Salary: £27,500 – £29,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Experience: Minimum of NGB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification.
