As a result of continued and exciting business growth, Greenhous Fleet Limited is expanding its finance team. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join us in supporting the day-to-day operations of our finance department. This position will be based at our Fenton office, located at ST4 2FR.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the finance team, assisting with routine accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations to support the smooth functioning of our financial operations. Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Responsibilities
- Process purchases and sales ledger invoices accurately and timely.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management.
- Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements including vehicle profit reports and support reconciliations.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.
- Monitor stock funding reports.
Qualifications / Ideal candidates
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy whilst prioritising workload.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Confidence to handle queries face to face, over the telephone and via email.
- Motor trade, automotive or vehicle dealership experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Previous experience in an account assistant or finance support role is required, preferably within the automotive sector or a related industry.
- Experience of Keyloop/Autoline desirable.
