A new opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Parts Assistant at the Cold Meece refurbishment site near Stone, Staffordshire. As a Parts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the refurbishment operation by ensuring parts are ordered, received, stored, and distributed efficiently. Working closely with technicians, suppliers, and the wider operations team, you will help maintain smooth workshop productivity and high levels of customer service. Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving, checking, and storing vehicle parts and accessories.
  • Picking and issuing parts to workshop technicians.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
  • Ordering parts from approved suppliers.
  • Monitoring stock movements and carrying out stock checks.
  • Ensuring parts are correctly labelled and stored.
  • Assisting with goods-in and goods-out processes.
  • Supporting colleagues with parts identification and availability queries.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised parts department.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a parts, stores, warehouse, or automotive environment.
  • Good organisational and administration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literate and comfortable using stock control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
