We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operation of our busy 15-bay van workshop. This is a key leadership role, responsible for controlling workflow, maximising productivity, supporting and motivating the workshop supervisor and technicians, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.

You will act as the vital link between the workshop, service team and customers, ensuring excellent communication, strong cost control, and outstanding customer satisfaction while driving service profitability.

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm, i.e. 42.5 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and coordinate the day-to-day workflow of a high-volume van workshop.
  • Ensure all customer information is obtained and stored and parts ready to allocate work effectively to the Workshop Supervisor to maximise productivity.
  • Ensure the day's workload is completed efficiently, with all statutory and vehicle checks completed.
