Nightshift HGV Technician to join our dedicated after-hours workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market-leading brand in a professional, well-equipped environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Salary

Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.

Hours

Tuesday to Friday, 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, i. e. 46 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
  • Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with DAF and DVSA standards.
  • Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
  • Work independently during night shifts while maintaining high productivity.

Ideally, we are looking for

  • Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience working on HGVs (DAF experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work confidently on night shifts with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
