Overview
HGV Technician – Days – DAF Wolverhampton. We’re on the road to expansion and are looking for a hands-on, motivated HGV Technician to join our workshop. If you know your way around commercial vehicles and enjoy solving problems in a supportive workshop environment, this could be your next big move.
Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles, adhering to the quality standards established by DAF and the Commercial Motor Industry.
- Diagnose defects to accurately identify and address mechanical issues.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to achieve operational goals.
- Take a proactive approach to solving technical problems, contributing to a smooth workshop workflow.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, ensuring documentation and exchange of information regarding repair processes and progress.
- Adhere to company and dealer processes and procedures, meet and exceed targets, report opportunities for improvement, and participate in training to maintain and develop skills.
Ideal candidate
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record. An HGV license is advantageous but not essential.
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
