Greenheart is a certified B Corp sustainability advisory practice with a strong market position, an exceptional client base and a fully funded three-year growth plan. They're now looking for a Senior Consultant to join at a genuinely pivotal moment - someone whose technical depth and commercial instincts will help shape a growing environmental practice, not just execute within it.
Location: UK-based, hybrid with monthly office time and quarterly residential gatherings.
Salary: Β£43,000 to Β£53,000 depending on experience. Contract type: permanent, full-time.
What you'll be doing
- Lead climate and environmental work for a portfolio of mid-sized clients - GHG inventories (Scopes 1-3), science-based targets, climate transition plans, and nature-related assessments aligned to TNFD and SBTN.
- Act as senior counsel to client sustainability leads and exec teams, translating complex technical standards into clear decisions leaders can actually act on.
- Advise on environmental management, double materiality, and reporting frameworks including CSRD, ISSB and B Corp Environmental requirements.
- Own the commercial performance of your client accounts - spotting where clients need more support and leading those conversations with confidence.
- Coach the wider team's environmental technical depth, building capability rather than dependency as the practice grows.
What you need to bring
- Demonstrable depth as a climate and environmental practitioner - the kind built through complex, real-world work, whether gained consulting to multiple clients or leading it in-house.
- Technical specialism in at least three of: GHG accounting, science-based targets and transition planning, Environmental Impact Assessments, TNFD/LEAP nature-related assessments, B Corp Environmental requirements, or Environmental Management Systems.
- A credible, commercially fluent presence with senior leaders - able to confidently represent technical standards while making sustainability legible to decision-makers.
- Confidence managing account relationships, project budgets and scope conversations - without it ever feeling like a sell.
Why you'll love this job
- Genuine influence over the direction of a growing environmental practice - with clear scope to move into practice leadership as a junior team grows around you.
- A funded growth plan with clear milestones, already backed by strong trading performance, and a brand that is genuinely well-regarded in the sustainability consulting space.
- A values-aligned workplace that lives its B Corp principles - where diversity is seen as a source of resilience, not a compliance checkbox.
If you're a senior sustainability practitioner ready for real technical depth and genuine growth potential, we'd love to hear from you. Interviews are held remotely, questions are shared in advance, and reasonable adjustments are made for any specific requirements. Only candidates eligible to work in the UK will be considered.
