We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active individual with strong organisational skills and a child-centred approach to lead a fantastic staff team and bring fun and play to our children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Full and relevant EYFS qualification at Level 3 or above and at least 2 years of experience in a baby room.
- Love coming into the nursery each day to spend time with our precious little ones and lead a fantastic staff team.
- Have a warm, infectious smile that greets children, families, and staff.
- Read and research best practice in early years, reflect on it, and implement it within your room, explaining the rationale to staff.
- Be organised, professional, and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Lead by example and be willing to get hands dirty; join in play and creative activities with children.
- Pay attention to details, such as knowing whose coat is whose and finding missing items.
- Be loving, kind, and offer hugs to children and staff.
- Have the courage to do the right thing, even when it is difficult.
- Be passionate about meeting the needs of all children, including those with SEND.
- Lead a team of support staff and inspire, challenge, and motivate others.

Greenhall is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB), references and medical clearance. It is an offence to apply for this role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. This is a permanent position working full time, whole year. Shifts are Monday-Friday between the hours of 7.30am – 6.00pm.
