Job Description

Greengage is looking for a proactive, passionate People Assistant to provide vital support to our People function and deliver key administrative support across the office.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about people, processes, and organisation. You’ll work closely with our Head of People and Office Manager to help shape a great employee experience while ensuring operational efficiency in our office.

This role is based from our London office and is 3 days per week.

Human Resources Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Support the recruitment process: posting job adverts, liaising with candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating feedback.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including inductions, document preparation, and exit interviews.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage reference checks, right-to-work verification, and visa tracking.
  • Support with employee lifecycle tasks, including contract administration, probation tracking, and performance reviews.
  • Keep training and development records up to date and support the coordination of internal and external training activities.
  • Assist in developing HR communications, internal updates, and HR policy documents.
  • Provide general support to the Head of People on ongoing HR initiatives and projects.

Office Administration Support

  • Assist with front-of-house duties, including welcoming visitors and managing mail and phone communications.
  • Order and manage office supplies and support with meeting and travel bookings.
  • Help coordinate team meetings, staff events, and other office-wide activities.
  • Support company communication, including the preparation of memos and staff updates.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Office Manager as required.

Desired skills and attributes

  • Experience in an HR support or HR administration role.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and a genuine interest in people and organisational development.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to work.
