Lostock Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic term-time only Senior Clerical Assistant.

Salary: Grade C, Scale Point 4-6 (£25,185 - £25,989) pro rata

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, term-time only

Days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00am–4:00pm (30-minute lunch break)

Contract: Permanent

Required for: 1st September 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Have knowledge and experience of information technology such as Microsoft Office; a good working knowledge of Bromcom is desirable
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure in a very busy main office with frequent interruptions
  • Have excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Have experience in a wide range of administration and financial procedures
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities under pressure, by forward planning and prioritising own workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Have experience of handling sensitive and confidential material
  • Have a professional and approachable character, being the first point of contact for all the school’s stakeholders
