The Governors and Senior Leadership Team at Egerton Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a Caretaker on a permanent basis. The successful candidate should be able to carry out routine maintenance, basic repairs and monitor major works as and when required in the school holidays, and manage the work of contractors on site as well as monitor externally provided services such as cleaning and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic building repairs.
  • Monitor major works during school holidays.
  • Manage contractors on site and supervise cleaning and grounds maintenance services.
  • Ensure all school facilities are in excellent and safe condition.
  • Perform manual tasks such as clearing snow and gritting.

  • Knowledge and skills relating to building maintenance and health and safety.
  • Ability to carry out repairs and minor building works.
  • Commitment and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and initiative, able to work independently and as part of a team.
