School Business Manager Advert
Brownlow Fold Primary School is seeking a School Business Manager to lead and coordinate the financial, human resources and facilities aspects of our school.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with the Headteacher to support the school’s improvement plan.

- Contract: 37 hours per week during term time plus 10 days of additional work
- Closing date: 12 Noon, Tuesday 1st September 2026
Responsibilities
- Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the admin team and make effective use of resources in support of the school improvement plan.
- Be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to and influence the school’s strategic direction, working closely with the Headteacher.
- Line manage and performance manage the admin and premises staff teams.
- Lead on all matters of financial management, facility and property management, human resources and health and safety management.
- Lead on liaison with external providers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent IT skills, including the use of financial management information systems (FMS), BROMCOM, Word and Excel.
- Previous experience of financial management and control, income generation and, preferably, working in schools.
- Experience of writing successful bids and securing funds for the school.
- Solution‑focused, creative and innovative in all areas of resource and premises management.
