Mount St Joseph Catholic School are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development and growth within the multi‑academy trust.
Responsibilities- Work under the direction/guidance of the class teacher/SEN Co‑ordinator to support pupils accessing the curriculum in a way that meets their needs and understanding.
- Assist in the delivery of the provision outlined in statements of special educational needs.
- Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
- Provide support for teaching and learning activities, contributing to students’ development and safeguarding.
- Help keep students safe, including maintaining a safe environment, dealing with accidents, and supporting safeguarding.
- Promote the inclusion of all students.
- Ability to relate well to children.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
