About the role: Greenfields Primary School & Nursery are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant with sound knowledge and/or experience of the primary curriculum to add specific skills to our existing team, and are committed to ensure that all children achieve their best. We are a happy and friendly school with amazing children. Our vision is to be the best we can be in everything that we do. Key responsibilities and requirements:

  • To work under the specific supervision, instruction and guidance of the class teacher to support the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
  • To provide general support to the class teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom.
  • To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
  • To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
  • Have excellent classroom practice.
  • To get involved in whole school life.
  • To be an active team player who shows initiative and works well as part of a team.
  • To have a commitment to safeguard children in our care.

Salary & Benefits: NJC03 : £24,796 (FTE), £21,780 pro rata. Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme. Regional networks of Trust colleagues and access to key leaders in Education.
