The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Great opportunity to work within the health service. Friendly GP surgery needs an enthusiastic reliable and flexible person to join our team. Your role will be to support our patients face to face on the telephone and digitally. You will also be expected to work closely with our clinical team by providing admin support.

This is a full time role split over 5 working days with a shift pattern of 8am – 4.30 and 10am to 6.30

Main duties of the job

Front reception duties meeting and greeting

Supporting patients with digital access

Signposting to appropriate healthcare professionals

Liaising with hospitals and other healthcare providers

Managing own administrative workload

Supporting Clinical staff with admin

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties andthe provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to,greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system,booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients asrequired.Further duties are outlined below.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist. Theremay be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

a. Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system

b. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments

c. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with thecallers request appropriately

d. Signpost patients to the correct service

e. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients,team members and external agencies

f. Code data on the clinical IT system

g. Photocopy documentation as required

h. Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary

i. Manage requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitorsletters and DVLA forms to the administrative team

j. Manage PPA claim forms and ensure accurate & timely claims.

k. Manage practice clinical staff rota in conjunction with ManagingPartner

l. Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents topatients healthcare records

m. Manage incoming lab reports on a daily basis sending to appropriateclinician

n. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner

o. Carry out system searches as requested

p. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times

q. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested

Secondary key responsibilities

In addition to the primary responsibilities, theReceptionist may be requested to:

a. Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead

c. Action incoming emails and correspondence as necessary

d. Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the dutyrota

e. Order and monitor stationery supplies

f. Deputise and support during periods of absence
