Payroll Tax Assistant Role:
- Support the Payroll and Tax teams with accurate data entry, payslip production, tax computations, HMRC submissions and year-end tasks (including P11Ds).
- Handle client queries, keep records up to date, follow compliance procedures and help ensure deadlines are met.
Payroll Tax Assistant responsibilities:
- Produce payslips, reports and HMRC submissions.
- Apply tax codes, student loans and statutory deductions correctly.
- Support Auto Enrolment and pension uploads.
- Draft basic tax returns and computations.
- Track tax return progress and assist with year-end compliance.
- Provide clear, professional client communication.
