Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Network Engineer to join their ICT Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to support and develop critical network and communications infrastructure within a secure, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving WAN/LAN networks, fixed and mobile communications systems, and associated infrastructure technologies, while ensuring high standards of security and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of network and telecoms systems
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical escalation support
- Assist with infrastructure installations, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and backups
- Support infrastructure-related projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal ICT teams
- Produce technical documentation, reports, and user guidance
- Maintain asset records and stock levels
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota for critical incidents
Essential Requirements:
- CCNA qualification (or equivalent), or willingness to achieve within probation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting WAN/LAN environments across multiple sites
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of network security best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and train users
- Full UK driving licence
