We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Engineering Team Leader to oversee our advanced fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on expertise in setting, and operating a specific suite of high‑tech machinery. This is a crucial leadership role, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and mentoring team members to meet production targets.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a sheet metal team utilising our Amada Press Brakes, ensuring all safety protocols and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) are strictly adhered to.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine production requirements.
• Conduct regular quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges) to ensure compliance with design specifications and tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Manage and perform routine preventative maintenance with the team and report any machinery malfunctions to the maintenance team.

Skills & Experience

• Essential hands‑on experience (setting and operating) of Amada Press brakes. Experience with Salvagnini Panel Benders would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
