Fabricator/Welder in Holsworthy

Overview

Due to continued growth, we are looking at recruiting hardworking production MIG welders (TIG welding experience also preferred) to join our established dayshift and night shift teams. Suitable candidates must be skilled in welding preferably within the thin gauge sheet metal engineering sector.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG processes on mild steel and maintain high quality work at a consistent pace.
• Perform grinding/linishing to prepare products for the follow-on process.
• Work within a thriving manufacturing team (employing more than 60 skilled and semi-skilled staff).
• Capable of working independently using and interpreting engineering drawings; work is completed within our factories and does not involve site work.
• All candidates will be subject to a weld test as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is preferred.
• Skilled in welding, preferably within the thin gauge sheet metal engineering sector.
• Excellent working knowledge of welding procedures and ability to produce high quality work.
• Grinding/linishing experience for product preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High standards of timekeeping and attendance.

Benefits

• Shift allowance of £2.00/hour on top of the agreed hourly rate for our night shift.
