We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Learning Support Assistant to join our Early Years team. You will support pupils in nursery, helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. Working closely with teachers and colleagues, you will encourage children’s social, emotional and educational development through play‑based learning and positive relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing within the nursery environment.
- Assist in delivering engaging play‑based activities that promote early learning and development.
- Work closely with teachers and Early Years staff to meet individual pupil needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and independence.
- Support children with personal care, hygiene and welfare needs where required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
- Experience of working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, child development and inclusive practice.
