The nursery lead will provide high-quality early years provision, lead the day-to-day running of the nursery, and support staff to deliver the EYFS framework in a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning, safeguarding, staff coaching, and building relationships with parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of a creative, engaging EYFS curriculum
  • Ensure high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding
  • Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records
  • Support, coach, and model best practice for nursery staff
  • Build positive partnerships with parents and external professionals
Qualifications & Skills
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Experience in an early years setting, ideally with leadership responsibility
Compensation

Pay range: SCP12-17 – £18,788.23-£20,380.74 (FTE: £28,598.00-£31,022.00). 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
