Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Greenfield Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Your support will make a meaningful difference in the classroom and beyond.
Key responsibilities- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with staff, SENCO, and external professionals
- Support student engagement and independence
- Good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Patient, caring, and empathetic approach
- Ability to support children with a range of SEN needs
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
