Greenfield Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Your support will make a meaningful difference in the classroom and beyond.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Adapt resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with staff, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Support student engagement and independence
Qualifications and Skills
  • Good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
  • Patient, caring, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to support children with a range of SEN needs
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
