Greenergy is a national UK fuel supplier and a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables. To deliver fuel to our customers, we have a 24/7 in-house haulage operation made up of over 650 drivers and a fleet of over 250 tankers. Greenergy Flexigrid manages over 500 deliveries per day and operates out of over 20 depots nationwide, making over 182,000 deliveries to 3,100 customers each year.

We’re seeking a detail-focused Customer & Operations Support Clerk to join our Tamworth office. Working closely with customers, scheduling and operational teams, you’ll help manage daily delivery requirements, maintain accurate records and ensure customer documentation is processed within agreed timescales. You’ll also provide additional support during busy periods, helping to manage calls, delivery issues and operational queries.

This role would suit someone with previous logistics or account management experience who is flexible, organised and able to remain calm while managing changing priorities. Working hours are Monday to Friday 6.00am–2.30pm.


Key Responsibilities


Customer management & operational support:
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers in the morning, handling inquiries via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
  • Managing customer delivery issues, updating customers on ETAs and morning handovers
  • Liaise with scheduling and operations teams to manage dropped loads and allocate additional resources in response to customer requests
  • Process and upload customer orders accurately, ensuring efficient scheduling and replanning when necessary
  • Customer site management – ensuring managed customers have faults logged and actioned correctly
  • Operational – support, taking calls during busy times, dealing with operational issues that come through
Administrative oversight:
  • Ensure that all customer delivery paperwork is processed and sent in accordance with contractual terms
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of key administrative data, including KPIs
  • Provide customers with estimated delivery times (ETAs) and conduct daily handovers
  • Handle third-party customer haulage rate requests promptly and efficiently
  • Assisting with ensuring customer PO numbers are input into the system correctly.
Additional support functions:
  • Support the operations team during busy periods, taking calls and escalating delivery and vehicle issues
  • Provide operational support across the department, assisting with aviation, order-free delivery and ethanol management as required
  • Offer coverage and support in related areas to maintain seamless service delivery.
