The Media Partnerships Manager at Greene King leads the development and execution of a commercial partnerships strategy focused on driving growth through media and advertising collaborations across the business. The role acts as the key contact for major partners such as Blue Light Card, AA and Tesco Clubcard, building strong relationships to increase transactions while centralising partnerships into a Centre of Excellence to maximise efficiency and value.
Working cross-functionally with pricing, digital, marketing and loyalty teams, the manager ensures partnerships align with brand and pricing strategy, optimises performance using key metrics like ROI and conversion, and communicates insights clearly to stakeholders. The role also owns contract negotiations, develops new partnership opportunities, oversees campaign delivery through partner channels, and stays up to date with industry trends to continuously enhance performance.
As a Media Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Develop and lead the Partnerships strategy within Greene King which focuses on volume driving commercial partnerships both group wide and for divisions.
- Create a Centre of Excellence to centralise other partnerships in existence like Tesco, Student Beans, Dusk – to maximise both economies of scale, and commercial value.
- Develop strategies and relationships with key partners – Blue Light Card, AA, Tesco Clubcard acting as a key point of contact day to day to drive transaction growth.
- Collaborate with Pricing Lead and specific brand/format teams to understand the role of partnerships & affiliates now & in the future as part of brand & price proposition.
- Work with Analyst teams in Pricing, Digital & Division to understand specific KPIs (such as Return on Investment, Conversion Rates) and share with key stakeholders in an engaging and concise way.
- Own the measurement and reporting of the channel. Monitor and report on all key performance metrics (such as Return on Investment, Conversion Rates) and share with key stakeholders in an engaging and concise way.
- Own and develop critical paths for partnerships and related processes within Greene King.
- Own and negotiate commercial contracts including media buys with key partners.
- Develop a pipeline of volume-driving partnerships opportunities to propose to the business.
- Collaborate with Digital including Loyalty team to plan the role of external partnerships alongside the development of Greene King Loyalty programme and ensure a complementary approach.
- Work with marketing and pricing teams to optimise existing deals available for profitability.
- Leverage partnership media inventory to communicate key seasonal campaign messaging. Ensuring partners uphold a high standard and adhere to advertising guidelines, and maintain positive representation of all brand's deals, offers and Ts and Cs.
- Maintain a good profile within the Partnerships Industry, keeping up to date on industry trends and best practices.
