Your role as Risk and Resilience Specialist involves leading and supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation's corporate risk management and business continuity frameworks. The role contributes to enhancing operational resilience, ensuring the organisation can anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. Additionally, it supports the corporate business in continuously assessing and managing operational and strategic risks.
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Support the design and delivery of the ERM framework across the corporate organisation.
- Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning with business units.
- Maintain risk registers and ensure timely reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Develop and maintain corporate business continuity plans and procedures.
- Coordinate business impact analyses and recovery strategies.
- Lead periodic testing and exercises to validate continuity plans.
- Support the integration of operational resilience principles into risk and continuity planning.
- Collaborate with key functions (e.g., IT, Facilities, HR) to identify critical services and dependencies.
- Monitor and report on resilience metrics and capabilities.
- Operational Resilience
- Lead workshops and working groups to engage stakeholders in risk and resilience activities.
- Develop structured work plans and timelines for risk and continuity initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare clear, concise, and insightful reports for senior management and governance committees.
- Communicate complex risk and resilience concepts in an accessible manner.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders to embed a culture of resilience.
What You'll Bring
- Understanding of risk assessment approaches: operational risk, strategic risk, and Business Impact Assessments.
- Experience of applying control frameworks e.g. ISO standards and maintaining compliance.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops and stakeholder engagement.
