This is a field-based position, overseeing the Midlands as well as the Oxfordshire & Gloucester area. As Operations Manager, your role will be of a highly experienced, authentic and strategic leader, able to inspire and motivate, driving change at all levels and ensuring the delivery of our budgeted plan and profit.

Manage a team of Business Development Managers. Reporting directly to the Operations Director (OD), injecting real momentum into Greene King Pub Partners L&T operational performance and excellence. This role is instrumental in the delivery and execution of the business, with strategic and operational responsibility for a significant proportion of the estate.

The role involves overseeing relationships with licensees, supporting the team, driving business results, and promoting company values. It focuses on fostering long-term success and ensuring smooth business operations, while directly managing a team and meeting strategic goals. Accountable for the performance and development of the BDM team, achieving financial dartboard targets.

Defines boundaries by making sure that all actions and behaviours align with Greene King’s values, creating a positive work environment and promoting consistency across the company.

  • Fully conversant with all PP agreements, the Pubs Code and terms of business, always representing GK in a professional manner.
  • A thorough financial understanding of business profitability utilising P&L information to assess financial viability.

  • Ability to mitigate potential impact of MRO on the business.
