Job Description

As a

Health & Safety Trainee , you'll support the delivery of health, safety, environmental and facilities activities across the depot.

Working under the guidance of the Health & Safety Officer and wider SHE team, you'll help promote safe working practices, support compliance activities and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

What you'll do as a Health & Safety Trainee...

  • Support health, safety, environmental and facilities activities across the depot.
  • Promote safe behaviours and company safety values across all departments.
  • Assist with inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety checks.
  • Support the delivery of safety communications, toolbox talks and engagement activities.
  • Help maintain SHE records, documentation and compliance data.
  • Support the use of Evotix, including logging observations, hazards and incidents.
  • Assist with tracking actions and following up outstanding items.
  • Support occupational health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assist with facilities inspections, housekeeping standards and contractor coordination.
  • Work towards recognised safety qualifications as part of the apprenticeship programme.
