Company Description
Your role will be based from our Bury St Edmunds offices on an agile working basis (50%). You will perform month-end accounting processes, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and be responsible for delivering high-quality outputs while managing and interacting with various stakeholders across the business.

Your role as a Management Accountant:
- Perform month-end accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial information.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported, highlighting any risks or opportunities, and actioning all differences in the control accounts promptly.
- Responsible for the delivery of high-quality reports, information, and commentary to provide insights enabling the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
- Ensure that all processes and procedures are implemented in accordance with GAAP principles and comprehensively documented to establish a robust controls environment.
- Support the internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of source data and the structure and use of financial information from core systems that feed into the financial statements.
- Understand the impact of operational changes on procedures and core business systems to ensure correct accounting treatment and up-to-date posting books.
- Provide support to the Senior R2R Manager and COE Financial Controller on ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:
- Qualified with a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA is preferable. QBE will be considered.
- Experienced with finance and ERP software together with a strong knowledge of reporting tools such as Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI would be an advantage but not essential).
- Experience with Cognos tools beneficial but not essential.
- Large company experience is essential.
- Knowledge of the retail and hospitality industry is an advantage.
