Please note this is a 9 month FTC (Hybrid - 2 days in our Burton Office).

You will:

  • Write clear, attractive channel-specific copy using our distinct brand voices.
  • Interpret incoming copywriting briefs to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketing and brand stakeholders on large and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages).
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed.
  • Use SEO principles to maximise search rankings of web pages.
  • Help marketing teams with new ideas and concepts for upcoming campaigns and events.
  • Help the Copy Team stay up to date with industry developments and competitor trends.

You currently have:

  • Proven work experience as a copywriter or a related role.
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with SEO.
  • Strong research skills.
  • A positive, friendly attitude and are happy to collaborate with team members, internal teams and external agencies.
  • Experience with CMS.
  • Great time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet key deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and can adapt your workload to the changes and needs of the business.

We’re looking for a talented Copywriter to join our Copy Team. Working across Greene King’s portfolio of brands, you will be responsible for creating compelling copy across a whole host of creative formats, from emails and web pages to paid media and printed menus. Life in Marketing is busy and fast-paced, but you’ll be more than comfortable working on multiple projects (and with different tones of voice) at the same time. You’ll also have pinpoint accuracy when it comes to proofreading, and you’ll always be on the lookout for beautiful words and phrases to bring to your role.
