Job Description
Your role as a Maintenance Technician
- You will report into the Senior Maintenance Technician and together be responsible for the upkeep of circa 65 pubs / hotels in the Yorkshire area. The role will be varied from day to day, working with our pub teams and pub managers to improve their site and keep our Greene King customers safe.
- We will provide the relevant health and safety training as well as the tools to do the job. You will have a van to use to transport tools and materials from one job to the next; therefore, a driving license is required.
- The occasional night or nights away helping other areas when needed or attending work conferences and training.
- Investigate, resolve and complete all assigned property related repairs to meet business expectations and priorities with minimum impact on business operations.
- Carry out visual audits whilst on site and elevate any areas of concern to the Senior Maintenance Technician /or the Regional Building Surveyor/.
- Work with the Greene King Building Maintenance team including the Helpdesk and Compliance teams to keep a track of jobs and notify when jobs have been completed.
- Support the Building Maintenance team in ensuring that Greene King’s sites meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Pro-actively identify and procure all materials and spare parts required to complete outstanding repairs from agreed suppliers.
- Working within current SLA’s and prioritising work where necessary.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring…

- An experienced multi-skilled background familiar with carpentry, plumbing, small electrical repairs, painting and decorating as well as use of plaster, concrete and minor repairs to fixtures and fittings including garden furniture or equipment.
- Ability to understand and adhere to the H&S, service and regulatory standards expected of the role. Knowledge of maintenance processes and relevant legislation.
- Good communication skills and an ability to make a persuasive and clear presentation of ideas or facts to the pub team.
- Effectiveness in identifying defects and possible causes and how to resolve and/or when to elevate those issues.
- You Will require a full UK driving licence.
