The Regent is a well-established local in the heart of Chapel Allerton, Leeds, with a strong wet-led focus and a real passion for live sport. With Sky Sports and TNT Sports, big screens and a fantastic matchday atmosphere, we’re the place for locals to come together for the big game – from Premier League football and rugby to F1, darts and boxing.
We’re looking for a General Manager who lives and breathes pubs – someone who understands what makes a great wet-led business tick and can turn the Regent into the go-to destination for sport, drinks and great times in Chapel Allerton.
What you'll be doing
As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the Regent, leading the team and driving the performance of this busy, community-focused pub. You’ll be responsible for:
- Creating an unmissable wet-led pub experience, with a strong focus on drinks, atmosphere, service and occasion.
- Making the most of the pub’s sporting credentials, building excitement around fixtures and creating a brilliant matchday experience.
- Building strong relationships with the local Chapel Allerton community, becoming a recognisable face and making the Regent the local of choice.
- Leading, coaching and developing your team to deliver great service and consistently high standards.
- Driving sales and profitability through commercial awareness, strong pub standards and effective local marketing.
- Creating events and experiences that give customers a reason to keep coming back, from live sport and pub quizzes to seasonal occasions.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for an experienced General Manager or strong Assistant Manager ready for their next step, with a genuine passion for wet-led pubs and creating a great customer experience. You’ll bring:
- Experience running a wet-led or drinks-focused pub, ideally with a strong sports or community element.
- A real passion for live sport and the atmosphere it can create in a pub.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive sales, manage costs and deliver results.
- A natural ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues and the local community.
- The leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Energy, personality and the confidence to be the face of the pub.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who understands that a great local pub is about more than just pouring a pint – it’s about creating somewhere people want to come back to time and time again.
Why The Regent?
The Regent has everything you need to create a brilliant local pub experience – a strong sports offer, a great range of drinks, a beer garden, darts and a loyal local customer base. Located in the heart of Chapel Allerton, this is an opportunity to put your own stamp on a well-known local and make it the number-one destination for sport, drinks and good times in the area.
If you’re ready to take the lead, build a brilliant team and make The Regent the pub everyone wants to be in on matchday – we want to hear from you.
