Job Description
To elevate cellar service across Greene King through strategic leadership, technical excellence, and innovation. This role ensures our pubs are equipped with reliable, high-quality dispense systems, enabling great beer every time. Driving continuous improvement, digital enablement, and culture change, the Head of Cellar Service will lead a high-performance team to reduce downtime, enhance product quality, and create a best-in-class service experience.
Qualifications
- Strategic Leadership & Innovation
Lead the transformation of the Cellar Services function by embedding a culture of continuous improvement, technical standards, and operational excellence aligned with Greene King\'s strategic priorities. - Operational Efficiency & Effectiveness
Deploy data-driven methodologies and KPIs to improve the reliability, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of technical services, reducing failure rates and optimising engineer utilisation. - Technical Product Quality
Champion the use of best-in-class technical standards and installation practices to ensure consistent dispense quality, contributing directly to improved customer satisfaction and product perception. - Digital Enablement & Self-Help Solutions
Develop and deploy digital tools and self-help platforms that enable pub teams to resolve common cellar issues independently, reducing service calls and downtime. - Reliability & Planned Maintenance
Build and evolve proactive maintenance strategies that extend equipment life, prevent breakdowns, and maximise uptime across the estate. - People Leadership & Culture Change
Inspire and lead a national team of managers, developing a collaborative, customer-focused culture. Build capabilities, enhance engagement, and support succession planning through coaching and leadership development. - Collaboration & Influence
Work cross-functionally with Brewing, Pub Operations, IT, Procurement, and external partners to align on standards, drive service innovation, and enable successful pub operations. - Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, safety standards, and best practices. Maintain a safe, audit-ready service environment with high operational integrity. - Budgetary & Resource Planning
Own and manage a strategic budget (~£15M), ensuring cost control, resource planning, and investment prioritisation align with long-term service goals
