To deliver high‑quality financial analysis, modelling and insight that supports effective decision‑making across Greene King’s Trading function. The role translates complex trading and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations, enabling strong financial control, value creation and responsive commercial performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Your role will provide analysis for the Trading function, covering food, drink, GNFR and machines procurement, food menu development and trading responses. This will be a fast‑paced environment with a high degree of variability.

  • Build relationships across the Commercial and Finance functions.
  • Prioritise workload based on commerciality and be comfortable with not being able to meet all requests.

Producing first-rate commercial analysis which will be clear, concise and insight focused. The role holder will be expected to add to collective responsibility for the entire Commercial Finance team’s analysis and reporting environment, constantly striving for improved quality.

  • Production of regular reporting, including tracking of procurement performance, margin analysis and variances to budget.
  • Support the modelling of scenarios and post-investment appraisal with an outcome focus.
  • Utilise both financial and non-financial inputs to draw conclusions, and with an awareness of cash flow.
  • Support production of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans (together “financial plans”) or parts thereof for areas of Greene King’s Trading offering.

What you’ll bring…

  • Part or newly qualified accountant or data analyst with > 2y experience in an analysis and reporting focused role, ideally with procurement or trading experience.
  • Moderate experience in large dataset analysis, management and visualisation preferred.
  • Exposure to the development of reporting solutions. Experience of developing in a BI environment is preferred.
  • Ability to flex with changing priorities.
  • Able to form and develop relationships across the wider Greene King business.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, able to explain and present technical items in simple ways.
  • Critical mindset.
