As an Estates Manager, you will be a lead member of the Pub Partners Estates Team, a key role at the heart of the Pub Partners business. The role will deal with key income streams for Pub Partners and the wider business, working closely with the Estates Director, Pub Partners Estates Lead, the Pub Partners Ops team and the Pub Partners Property team.
This role is a Manager (M2) Grade.
In your role as Estates Manager you will:
- Pro-actively manage the Pub Partners estate
- Represent the Estates team in key internal & external meetings
- Timely manage all of the Pub Partners estate matters such as new agreements, lease renewals & rent reviews, all in accordance with the Pubs Code
- Review and sign off on all rental valuations, negotiations and settlements
- Provide updates and reports to the key stakeholders in the business including Property, Operations & Finance
- Train and coach the Operations team including briefings on Estate, Code and RICS matters, attending regional Operations meetings when appropriate
- Pubs Code and Landlord & Tenant Act advice
- Manage the asset disposal programme
- Manage external agents and solicitors on all estate matters
- Assist with the delivery of the ESG strategic driver
- Assist with the delivery of the PP Capex programme
- Establish professional working relationships with peer group property professionals, agents and solicitors
- Share and adopt best practice and innovative solutions across your team
What you’ll bring:
- Pub Valuation experience preferred but not essential
- RICS qualified with a minimum of two years’ experience in a General Practice surveying role
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a demonstrable ability to manage colleagues and external consultants
- Strong financial skills, strong negotiating skills and commercial acumen
- Lateral thinker, with creative approach to problem solving
- A self-starter, with a disciplined approach to working on own initiative
- A high level of IT skills, including Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to form strong and effective business relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers
- A passion for exceptional customer service
