The Governor's House is a busy pub with dining area, large garden, sport, and 10 hotel rooms, located in leafy Cheadle Hulme and within close proximity to Manchester and Manchester Airport, and surrounding Cheshire.
Job Description
We are looking for a new
Team Leader to join our experienced and welcoming team here at the Governor's House, on either a part-time or full-time basis.
We are a busy pub, with up to six screens for sport, 75-cover dining area, 200-cover garden, and 10 hotel rooms.
- You must have at least a year's experience in a similar role
- leading team, and managing shifts, preferably with prior experience working in a table service environment.
Experience with the hotel side of the operation is not necessary, as training will be provided.
You’ll lead by example, making sure the team have everything they need so the shift runs like clockwork!
You’ll make sure the team maintain high standards and that our customers are kept happy.
- Opening shifts start from 06.45am, whilst closes finish up to 1am at weekends
- an ability to get to and from the pub, where public transport is limited, at these times is essential.

Qualifications
- As a Team Leader, you will…
- Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
- Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.
- Help organise and coordinate the team during a busy shift, making sure everything runs like clockwork.
- Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.
- Be responsible, at times, for opening and closing the business and checking in hotel guests and dealing with their queries.

- Diligence, to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are observed during your shifts.
