To support the delivery of the Group’s Financial Planning Transformation through the design, build and ongoing maintenance of planning models within a new enterprise Financial Planning tool. This role is essential for our FP&A transformation, producing and maintaining systemised models that improve accuracy, speed, and insight across the business. It is a key role in supporting finance wide colleagues during and after change to our business‑as‑usual FP&A processes through providing excellent end user internal support. The role is responsible for creating and maintaining practical planning models, processes and governance, ensuring the new capability delivers material improvements in planning efficiency, insight quality, scenario modelling and decision support.
Qualifications:
- Produce and maintain high‑quality systemised planning models that enhance financial insight, improve forecast accuracy and drive operational efficiency.
- Support FP&A teams across divisions and functions to give excellent internal customer support on the planning system solution and processes.
- Work closely with Senior Manager – Planning & Systems and Manager – Planning & Systems to ensure alignment with the Group Finance vision, target operating model and finance technology roadmap.
What you’ll bring:
- Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in FP&A, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting within a complex organisation.
- Strong Excel and reporting systems literacy with ability to validate outputs and support reporting.
- Track record of process improvement within a financial reporting or planning environment.
- Experience in supporting finance change and/or finance systems implementations.
- Matrix teamworking capability, able to work with a virtual team through influence and collaboration.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to operate with ambiguity and make progress in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Experience of planning systems such as Anaplan is desirable.
