As a People Systems SME, you will play a key role in supporting and evolving our Workday platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business. You’ll work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and external partners to deliver system improvements, configuration changes, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role will be based at either our Burton office or Bury St Edmunds office based on your location, with a requirement to be in the office 2 days a week. Induction will be based in our Bury St Edmunds office.
As People Systems SME, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HR and the wider business to gather requirements and deliver system and process improvements.
- Configure and deploy changes within Workday, ensuring they align to governance and best practice.
- Support and contribute to the ongoing Workday roadmap, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Partner with internal teams and external providers to ensure system integrations and data flows operate effectively.
- Lead testing, quality assurance and release readiness activities, including support for biannual Workday releases.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working with HR systems, ideally Workday, including configuration and change management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions.
- A collaborative approach with a focus on driving system adoption and continuous improvement.
- An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, particularly around testing and system impacts.
- Confidence working with third-party providers and managing external relationships.
