As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring equipment at our Packing Plant and wider site run smoothly to help us get beer to our customers efficiently. Whether you are completing planned maintenance or root cause analysis, you will be providing beneficial solutions to the operational teams. Working alongside a buddy, and with a supportive broader engineering team, this varied role works from our Westgate Brewery site and operates across a three-shift pattern Monday to Friday (this role includes one night shift).
Week 1 – 5.30am to 2.00pm
Week 2 – 1.30pm to 10.00pm
Week 3 – 9.30pm to 6.00am

Responsibilities:
- Provide multi-skilled engineering support with a mechanical bias to the Packing Plant.
- Work across varied equipment and systems including rotary fillers, automated packaging systems, conveyors, and industrial robots.
- Fault find and quickly identify the failure reason and recovery plan.
- Provide engineering support to capital investment projects, packaging projects and improvement projects.
- Implement controlled changes that improve line performance and overall plant efficiency.
- Coach operatives to further develop the base knowledge of how the plant equipment works.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an indentured apprenticeship.
- Relevant multiskilled, electrical/mechanical mechatronics qualification (e.g., BTEC, ONC, HNC or similar).
- At least previous FMG/C experience.
- Solid understanding of production line philosophy or liquid transfer.
- Able to fault find in a controlled methodical manner.
- Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and electrical systems.
- Bench fitting skills to facilitate machinery repair.
- Hygienic welding (TIG).
