We are looking for an Apprentice Assistant Management Accountant to join our team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while studying towards a professional qualification in AAT. This role will primarily work within our Finance Centre of Excellence but would also interact and spend time with Divisional Finance as required/suitable.
You will be part of a rotational programme, covering different aspects of Finance which would include:
- Accounts Payable: Processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing payment runs.
- Accounts Receivable: Raising invoices, chasing outstanding debts, and reconciling customer accounts.
- Management Accounting: Preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation and supporting audit processes.
- Reporting & Planning: Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance team with day-to-day tasks and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
- Participate in the rotational programme, gaining experience in different areas of Finance.
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of your apprenticeship.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.
