Team Overview
The Corporate and Strategic Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, and CXO, and their respective teams. The team consists of high-performing finance professionals who, in addition to providing technical expertise and setting policy in the fields of Tax, Treasury and External reporting, support and drive the business in Property, Operational Excellence and strategic projects including Working Capital, whilst business partnering the Corporate Functions. The overall team is further responsible for setting the Group planning agenda and strategic plan and driving the results to balance the needs of the business and the shareholder.

Qualifications
To drive day-to-day financial performance, control and decision-making across property P&L repairs and repairs-related capital expenditure, acting as the primary finance partner for these areas. The role has direct responsibility for the financial management and control of: the Property Repairs budget (c. £55m); and Repairs Capex (c. £70m), and plays a key role in challenging and influencing capital allocation and investment decisions through high-quality analysis, insight and momentum, within agreed governance and approval frameworks.
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance roles.
- Strong analytical capability, with the confidence to challenge and influence.
- Comfortable driving outcomes in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and maintain momentum.
- Acts as the lead finance partner for Property repairs, maintenance and repairs-related capex.
- Works closely with the Senior Finance Manager - Property to drive capital prioritisation, allocation and delivery.
- Interfaces with Property Operations, Group FP&A and divisional finance teams to align plans, forecasts and reporting.
- Engages confidently with non-finance stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive action.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Investment & Allocation: Actively support and influence capital prioritisation and allocation by preparing robust financial analysis, insight and options for capital decisions and forums.
- Drive high-quality investment evaluation, including review of assumptions, sensitivities and post-investment performance.
- Contribute to capital planning, scenario analysis and investment discipline across the Property estate.
- Repairs & Maintenance (Opex - c. £55m): Own the day-to-day financial management of the Property Repairs budget, driving accurate budgeting, forecasting and in-year control.
- Actively monitor spend, identify emerging risks early, and drive corrective actions with Property stakeholders.
- Challenge assumptions, cost drivers and behaviours to improve cost discipline and predictability.
- Ensure repairs spend is accurately recorded, well-forecast and clearly explained.
- Repairs Capex (c. £70m): Drive financial control and delivery of Repairs Capex within agreed approval limits.
- Track spend and commitments, proactively managing risks, slippage and overspends.
- Lead financial input into business cases and investment decisions for repairs-related capex.
- Drive transparency of capex delivery through clear reporting and insight.
- Build strong, credible relationships with Property and Financial stakeholders, acting as a proactive and challenging finance partner.
- Translate complex financial information into clear messages that enable decisions and action.
