Job Description
Working in the Commercial Marketing team, the role holder will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager (Food) in delivering the food strategy for Greene King – specifically developing and executing the annual food marketing plan in line with business, commercial and brand objectives. Working closely with Food Development, Supply Chain, Integrated Marketing and Operations teams, this role encompasses management of range, menu and promotional processes; developing and implementing customer propositions, optimising ranges from a commercial viewpoint, and maximising revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
- Food Proposition
- Working with the Commercial Manager and Integrated Marketing team to support with defining, creating and evaluating distinct Food propositions for each of our brands and formats.
- Develop and utilise understanding of assigned brands to confidently apply knowledge of wider portfolio strategy, customer behaviour, sales data, operational feedback and market trends to make decisions.
- Support commercial analysis to provide key data for menu development – from quantitative data including volumes, margin and spend to qualitative data including customer reviews and in-pub colleague feedback.
- Food Process
- Assist in managing the end-to-end menu process from conception to implementation – liaise with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure adherence to key stages and timelines.
- Be a central point of communication for all things food, keeping stakeholders updated in a transparent and timely manner, and creating onward communication where necessary.
- Support with the post menu review to gain strong understanding of menu performance.
- Working cross functionally and with the Commercial Manager, creating and implementing a strategy to maximise sales and margin in our pubs.
- On-Site Delivery
- Support in creating programmes to improve quality of food delivery in-pub.
- Working with the Food Development team to drive efficiency of process and steps in pub.
- Working with Food & Drink Ops Managers to deliver site support and training, as well as menu launch programmes to Operations Team.
- Trials and Future Proofing
- Establish, implement and analyse range / simplification trials to inform further menu changes.
- Support with continuous stream of rapid-trial innovation programmes to support trend adoption and drive customer footfall.
