An opportunity has arisen to join the Greendale Group Marketing team as a Social Media Executive in a vibrant and dynamic business near Exeter. We’re looking for a highly driven and organised creative - who will be confident planning, managing and reporting across multiple channels. We\'re looking for someone who shares our love for quality food and drink, an expert in creating excellent content, with an inquisitive nature and a passion for storytelling.

You’ll work across a range of B2C and B2B business accounts, planning and producing content, managing social media channels, and supporting wider marketing campaigns. You’ll be comfortable shooting and editing content on iPhone or DSLR, love writing captions and blogs championing provenance stories, and have your finger on the pulse of TikTok and Reels.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this is an opportunity to grow your marketing career in a supportive and fast-paced environment, across a diverse family of businesses. Great content creation and copywriting skills are essential, as well as a good understanding of social media strategy. Paid advertising and event experience would be an added bonus!

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily management and scheduling for multiple social media channels (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn)
  • Create and edit engaging content including photography and video
  • Analyse and report on performance of all social media activity
  • Follow and engage with the latest social media trends
  • Community management - Monitor and respond to customer comments and social media posts (not customer service enquiries)
  • Researching and copywriting for various applications including blog posts and captions
  • Work closely with trading teams across the businesses to identify and develop opportunities for brand communication
  • Supporting in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Work with the marketing team to support brand and marketing initiatives
  • Support in other areas where required, likely to include: events, maintenance of company websites, print marketing, relationships with external brands
  • Maintain assets in the company’s asset management tools

Qualifications

Skills and experience required:

  • Content creation skills are essential, being able to create engaging content using photography, video and copy
  • Photography and video editing skills are essential including experience with video editing software
  • Good knowledge of the leading social media platforms is essential
  • Super organised, care about every little detail and can juggle an exciting mix of tasks all at once and deliver to agreed timescales
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Creative, innovative and results-driven approach
  • Proven marketing and social media management experience, particularly in a retail environment
  • Experience in social media analytics
