ABOUT THE JOB

Based from our Poole office and working as an integral part of our Pre-Construction Team, the successful candidate will be undertaking all aspects of pricing enquiries up to £10m.

In this role your duties would include

  • Working alongside our Pre-Construction Manager and other Estimators to ensure a complete tender return.
  • Processing enquiries from small works up to £10 million and ensuring these are returned on time and at the right price.
  • Using our Estimating software – currently Causeway – to produce detailed estimates that can be used by Greendale staff throughout the job.
  • Visiting potential clients, surveying work, and producing priced schedules so that clear concise documents are available once we win the work, ensuring you have an understanding of client needs / restrictions when visiting.
  • Being able to present tender bids for adjudication.
  • Producing RFIs from tender information for clients’ professional teams.

ABOUT YOU

  • The successful candidate will be/have–
  • Experienced in the field of construction.
  • A HNC or above is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Able to manage a busy workload and several tenders at once.
  • Be dynamic, innovative, and able to work on one’s own initiative.
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Able to understand 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Good working knowledge of SMM7/NRM.
  • Knowledge of Causeway estimating software package and Microsoft Project (or similar programmes) would be desirable.
