The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To manage the campus wide daily operation of the Food Service Department and to assure resident satisfaction with the services provided by the department. Serve as part of the Hamilton Grove Management Team.

Duties include:

  • Work in cooperation with the staff of the Healthcare areas of Hamilton Grove to assure that nutritional needs of the residents are being met.
  • Develop policies and procedures as needed and as directed.
  • Oversee the requisition of food items purchased.
  • Hire, orient, discipline and terminate involuntarily the staff of the Food Service Department.
  • Provide ongoing in-service program for staff on the use and care of equipment, meal preparation, safety, proper serving techniques and customer service.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have documentation of one of the following credentials: Dietitian, College degree in Foods and Nutrition or equivalent and one year of experience, Graduate of a state approved course in Food Service Supervision and one year of experience, Graduate of a Dietetic Technician program approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA), Graduate of a Dietetic assistant course approved by the ADA, or Other training and experience in Food Service supervision and management such as military experience equivalent.
  • Experience working in a hospital, long term care facility or retirement community preferred.
  • Ability to use standard equipment used for food preparation, serving, and clean up.
  • Ability to use computer, calculator, copier, fax, telephone, radio, and other basic office equipment and communication devices.
  • Basic management skills of staffing, planning, organization and resource management.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.

Schedule: Full Time. Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
