What you’ll be doing: As an IT Finance Analyst, you’ll join a team at the centre of one of the largest transformation programmes in the UK food manufacturing sector following the combination of Greencore and Bakkavor in January 2026. Working closely with the IT Commercial & Finance Manager, you’ll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of a large and evolving IT function. As systems, processes and ways of working continue to integrate across the business, you’ll help ensure the smooth management of IT purchasing, supplier payments, financial controls and reporting activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to IT, Finance and Procurement within a fast-paced environment, developing a broad understanding of how technology investment, supplier management and financial governance operate within a major organisation. Initially, you’ll focus on supporting key operational activities including SAP-based purchasing and invoice processing, helping the team manage workload generated through a period of significant change. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, reporting and broader commercial finance activities across the IT function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the end-to-end processing of purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments across the IT function
- Working within SAP and other business systems to ensure accurate financial administration and reporting
- Supporting invoice matching, coding, approvals and exception resolution activities
- Maintaining contract, renewal and supplier records to support effective commercial management
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting processes
- Working closely with Finance, Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to resolve queries and maintain strong financial controls
- Producing reports, trackers and dashboards to support operational and financial decision-making
- Supporting the ongoing integration of systems, processes and financial controls across a changing business environment
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce administration and enhance reporting accuracy
What we’re looking for:
- Experience using SAP within a finance, purchasing, procurement or operational environment
- Experience in a finance, procurement, accounts payable, commercial support or similar operational role
- Understanding of purchase order, invoice and payment processes
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data, reports and trackers
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise workload and operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Interest in technology and willingness to develop knowledge of IT financial and commercial operations
