Shift - 4 on / 4 off 6pm to 6am

Pay Rate - £12.85 p/h (FTC for 3 months)

Here at Heathrow, we have a team of around 400 colleagues. We produce gluten free sandwiches and ready to eat or reheat sandwiches, wraps and other bread-based products, salads and ready meals for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

What you’ll be doing as a Hygiene Operator:

  • Help deliver line/area productivity in line with the master schedule to ensure operational integrity.
  • Ensure you follow the agreed plans for cleaning, sanitation, environment and technical and able to adapt in light of emerging circumstances to minimise food risk.
  • Responsible for auditing their own work after each clean and for highlighting any Health & Safety / Food Safety issues or concerns.
  • Responsible for the prevention of accidents whilst carrying out cleaning activities by wearing the correct PPE and working in a safe manner.
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment.
  • Accountable for supporting the Hygiene Manager / Supervisor.

  • Hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good communicator and ability to work in a team.
  • Basic Awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
