What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for a driven Project Manager – Engineering to lead high-impact engineering and asset projects at the site, bringing ideas to life from concept through to completion. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to agreed safety, quality, cost, and timescale expectations. Operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business priorities.
Role Accountabilities
- Deliver multiple engineering projects from initiation through to completion, reporting to the project sponsor
- Establish and manage CDM, safety, health and environmental, and contractor control requirements
- Build and lead effective teams of direct and subcontracted resources
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure delivery against defined project objectives
- Prepare scope documentation and lead contractor selection and engagement
- Maintain project cost plans, apply value engineering, and provide accurate cash flow forecasts
- Develop and manage a compliant contractor database aligned with company standards
- Lead the installation and commissioning of food and drink processing equipment and facilities
- Maintain effective project timelines and coordinate delivery alongside wider business operations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong engineering background with experience leading complex site-based projects
- Sound knowledge of safety, health and environmental legislation, CDM, and contractor control
- Ability to manage cost, risk, and change throughout the project lifecycle
- Commercial awareness with experience controlling budgets and forecasting spend
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and manage project risk effectively
- Clear and confident communicator, able to report progress and influence stakeholders
- Strong collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Structured and organised approach to managing multiple priorities
- Engineering qualifications and health and safety credentials would be advantageous
