Role Purpose

Manage the Technical Services function for inbound supply chain, covering Raw Materials, Packaging control, Quality Systems and Technical Administration. Interface and provide effective communication with group services, sites, suppliers and authorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Inbound Logistics: ensure all raw material product approvals, specifications, and standards are compliant before launch, proactively dealing with and escalating issues.
  • Quality Management Systems: develop and maintain the QMS across the BIL functions, ensuring documentation is up to date, controlled and meets accreditation, legislation, industry standards and group requirements.
  • Inbound Supply Chain: apply relevant standards, codes of practice and legal requirements to maintain effective controls for supply chain integrity and security.
  • Audit: establish and maintain internal auditing against the QMS, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of actions.
  • Management and support: collaborate with the senior team to promote a Quality Assurance culture across functional teams.
  • Communication: communicate technical issues and horizon scanning of future concerns, collate food issue data, and report to Technical Management Team and key interfaces.
  • HACCP: analyze and implement appropriate controls for inbound supply chain using risk assessment.
